See you in August.... dress.

dress shopping successful.

[insert months of regret]
It was between two dresses, both Monique Lhuillier, but of two different feels. The first one I tried on was the one we eventually went with. The other dress I was considering, was the "Joy". A strapless alcenon lace overlay gown with silk slip underneath, very simple, form sitting through the thigh and flattering. Simple and elegant, but after much switching between the dresses, I went with my first choice - a little more playful and unique, something that felt classic but casual enough to wear outside.

I'm such a brat, I always second guess myself. I will go back and forth on whether I should have gone with the dress which made me look oh so slender and curvy, but in the end I'm sure I'll forget about it.

in other news, I don't know whether to feel good or bad, but the woman in the stall next to me was telling the girl that the trunk show dresses were made for models and so no one who came into their shop was able to zip them up, they were made for formless 14 year old girls - so not to feel bad that they couldn't fit it on her.

meanwhile, they were zipping them up on me just fine.
do I feel flattered I'm wearing miniscule model dresses? or that I'm supposedly built like a 14 year old?
